<p dir="ltr"><strong>We are hiring a MIG Welder for the Windsor area!</strong><br>
<strong>Location: </strong>Windsor, ON<br>
<strong>Position Type:</strong> Temporary to Permanent <br>
<strong>Shifts</strong>: Steady Afternoon (8-10 hour shifts)<br>
<strong>Wage</strong>: $24/hour<br>

<p dir="ltr"><strong>What You’ll Be Doing/Assignment Duties: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Set up welding equipment, including MIG welding machine, wire feeder, and gas supply, according to job specifications. <li>Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, or welding symbols to understand the welding requirements. <li>Clean and prepare workpieces for welding by removing rust, dirt, grease, or other contaminants. <li>Select appropriate welding techniques, electrodes, and welding parameters based on material type, thickness, and desired weld quality. <li>Position and secure workpieces using clamps, jigs, fixtures, or other holding devices to achieve proper alignment. <li>Operate MIG welding equipment to create high-quality welds, ensuring proper penetration, fusion, and appearance. <li>Monitor welding process and adjust settings as needed to maintain weld quality and productivity. <li>Inspect welded joints visually or using inspection tools to detect defects, such as cracks, porosity, or incomplete fusion. <li>Perform post-welding activities, such as grinding, sanding, or polishing, to smooth welds and improve surface finish. <li>Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of welding equipment and materials. <li>Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). <li>Collaborate with other team members, such as fabricators, machinists, or engineers, to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
</ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr">Climate controlled</p> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Required PPE Items: </strong></p> <ul dir="ltr"> <li>CSA approved safety shoes <li>Weld Helmet </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Position Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. <li>Previous experience as a MIG welder in a manufacturing or fabrication environment is desirable. <li>Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, or welding symbols. <li>Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds. <li>Knowledge of welding equipment operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
</ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Physical Demands of the Position: </strong></p> <ul dir="ltr"> <li>Must be able to bend, lift, twist and/or stand for 8-12 hour shifts <li>Must be able to lift up to 50lbs if needed
