Application Process FAQ
Visit our Job Board to browse available positions. Simply follow the prompts to upload your resume and complete the application form online. As part of the process, you will be asked some prescreening questions. Be sure to answer these questions honestly, as they help us match you with the best opportunities that fit your qualifications and experience.
Yes, but we recommend applying only to the roles that truly match your skills and experience. Submitting multiple applications for similar or unrelated positions can slow down the process. Our recruiters will evaluate your resume based on your experience, education, and availability, and will consider you for the most suitable open positions. Applying to more jobs does not increase your chances of being selected for an interview, so it's best to focus on roles that align with your qualifications.
If selected for an interview, we will contact you by email. If you do not hear from us, it means your qualifications do not meet the requirements for the role at this time. However, your profile remains in our system for future opportunities.
We offer a wide variety of positions across numerous industries, ranging from entry-level to executive roles. Check out our Job Board for all current opportunities.
The Job Shoppe is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace. If you require accommodations due to a disability at any point during the recruitment or assessment process, please contact our Recruitment team. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your request to ensure you have a fair and equitable experience throughout the process.
You can stay informed by regularly checking our Job Board, where new positions are posted frequently. Additionally, follow us on social media to get real-time updates on new job openings. Our recruiters also conduct ongoing database searches, and if your profile matches the qualifications of a new opportunity, they will reach out to you. Your profile remains in our system, so even if you're not selected right away, you may be considered for future roles that align with your qualifications.
The process involves an initial screening, followed by interviews with our recruiters. Once we have a clear understanding of your skills and goals, we present your profile to our clients and assist with interview preparation and negotiations.
The duration of the recruitment process can vary depending on the specific role and the employer’s requirements. For most commercial positions, it typically takes between 1 to 2 weeks from application to placement.
Our recruiters are here to support you every step of the way. This includes resume advice, interview preparation, and addressing any questions or concerns you may have throughout the application and onboarding process.
Preparation is key! Review the job description, research the company, and be ready to discuss how your qualifications fit the role. Practice answering behavioural questions using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result), and prepare some questions to ask the interviewer about the role and company culture.
No documents are required at the application stage, but you will need to provide details such as employment status, personal information, banking details, and emergency contact information during the onboarding process.
Yes, for some of our clients, we conduct background checks and/or drug screenings based on their specific requirements.
No, there are no fees for job seekers. Our role is to connect you with suitable job opportunities based on your qualifications and the needs of our clients, at no cost to you.
In most cases, while you are on assignment with one of our client companies, you will remain an employee of The Job Shoppe. We will handle your payroll, benefits, and other employment-related matters. However, if you are hired as a direct placement by one of our clients, you will begin as their employee on day one, and they will take over responsibility for your employment from the start.
